Teacher/librarian/author Toni Buzzeo dedicated this workshop to the idea that librarians are literacy teachers though they're currently often not recongnized as such. Utilizing her own picture books, she demonstrated the six traits -- ideas, organization, voice, word choice, sentence fluency and conventions, "behind the scenes stories," and how to share the excitment of the writing process with students.
